Emulate an Apple II"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Though the purpose of A2CLOUD is primarily to extend the functionality of your actual Apple II, there are also emulators provided in case you want a virtual Apple II. (If you&#8217;re using <a title=\"A2CLOUD: Apple II Pi\" href=\"https:\/\/appleii.ivanx.com\/a2cloud\/a2cloud-control-your-pi-from-your-ii\/\">Apple II Pi<\/a>, that&#8217;s in fact sort of the point.)<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll either need a screen attached to your Raspberry Pi, or\u00a0<a title=\"A2CLOUD: go headless (optional)\" href=\"https:\/\/appleii.ivanx.com\/a2cloud\/a2cloud-go-headless-with-your-pi\/\">remote desktop software<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For an emulated Apple IIgs, use <a href=\"http:\/\/gsport.sourceforge.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GSport<\/a>, a descendent\u00a0of the KEGS emulator with significant enhancements by David Schmidt, David Schmenk, Peter Neubauer, Christopher Mason, and others. GSport&#8217;s features include Uthernet card emulation, AppleTalk networking, and ImageWriter and Epson printer emulation. Type <code>gsport<\/code>\u00a0to if you are at the command prompt and want a full-screen experience, or double-click GSport on the\u00a0Raspbian desktop. Press F4 for the configuration screen, and alt-F4 to exit. Usage instructions are on the\u00a0<a title=\"GSport\" href=\"http:\/\/gsport.sourceforge.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GSport home page.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For a emulated Apple IIe, type <code>linapple<\/code>\u00a0to run the <a title=\"LinApple\" href=\"http:\/\/linapple.sourceforge.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LinApple<\/a> emulator. It has some nifty features like built-in software downloading and a built-in help screen.
